Aftercare Guidelines

  • Maintain excellent oral hygiene: Brush twice daily with a soft‑bristled toothbrush, floss gently and use an antiseptic mouthwash to keep the area clean.
  • Avoid staining foods and drinks: For the first 48 hours after whitening or bonding, limit coffee, tea, red wine, cola, berries and colored sauces. Rinse with water or use a straw when drinking pigmented beverages.
  • Don’t smoke: Tobacco products stain teeth and irritate gums. Avoid smoking to protect your new smile and overall health.
  • Protect your teeth: Wear a mouthguard during sports or if you grind your teeth at night to prevent cracks or chips.
  • Follow your dentist’s instructions: Each cosmetic procedure has unique recommendations. Follow the guidance provided by your dentist for the best results.
  • Manage sensitivity: Mild sensitivity to hot or cold is normal after whitening or veneer placement and usually subsides within a few days. Use toothpaste for sensitive teeth and avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Long‑term care: Keep up with regular dental check‑ups and professional cleanings. Avoid using your teeth to open packages or bite hard objects to prevent damage.
